Steel Tropics is Southern California’s most exciting & entertaining Steel Drum and Calypso Band. This lively Caribbean Steel Drum Band entertains all around the Southern California area. The group can be found providing Hot Steel Drum Music for a variety of performances that include: Private Parties, Concerts, Music Festivals, Beach Weddings, Tropical Theme Parties, Music for Television & Motion Pictures, Corporate Events and several Cable Television spots in the Los Angeles, San Diego, Palm Springs and Orange County California areas.

The Group is led by Steel Drummer & Recording Artist, Tom Liston. Tom first heard the music of the steel drum bands being played years ago and immediately fell in love with the intoxicating sound of the instrument. His love for steel drum music & the tropical rhythms really comes through in the Band's live performances as well as their many "Island" music recordings. The Band's 1st Caribbean steel drum recording was so successful that they have decided to record at least one new CD every year!
